The Asylum Crisis West Midlands Project is a partnership initiative in the West Midlands to help people seeking asylum with the right support and advice. Refugee Action and our partner organisations – British Red Cross, Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre (CRMC) and Staffordshire North and Stoke-On-Trent Citizens Advice Bureau (SNSCAB) –  help refused people seeking asylum understand their rights, obtain the support to which they’re entitled or appeal against a refusal to support them. We also provide people seeking asylum with information so they can make the right decisions about their future and avoid becoming homeless and destitute.

Due to the ongoing impact of the coronavirus outbreak our office in Birmingham has remained closed and we are still continuing to work remotely. Our staff will operate a telephone and email advice service to our existing clients and to deal with new enquiries

We are introducing new weekly outreach online service between 10am-1pm which can be accessed via following zoom link. You will need to download the app ‘Zoom’ on your phone or access it through intranet to take part. Each week on Thursday between 10am-1pm just click the link to join our online service.
